Yoshinobu Takahara
Chief Investment Officer, Asia / Representative in Japan
Message from the Representative in Japan
APLJ, the Japan-based operating arm of the U.S.-based APL Group, has been a trusted name in real estate investment and asset management since our inception in 1997, the early days of real estate securitization in post-bubble economy Japan. Over the years, we have built a strong track record by consistently delivering value and innovation to our investors, partners and clients.
Backed by the capital of the APL Group, we are not bound by specific investment periods or IRR requirements. We have the freedom to match the right asset management plan with the opportunities that the investment itself offers and provides. APLJ has also earned the reputation of being a real estate developer spanning across asset classes, a true differentiator from the international real estate funds in Japan. We strive to pursue investments that are “half a step ahead” of the market, a truly important quality in Japan where the “pack mentality” still dominates everyday business thinking and behavior.
Since our founding, we have placed the highest importance on cultivating trust-based relationships with our partners. The success and sustainability of our innovative business model are built on the unwavering support from our relationships built over time.
As we look to the future, we are committed to deepening these connections, expanding our network of partners, and contributing to positive changes in society through providing unique and transformative solutions that have become APLJ’s hallmark in the Japanese market.
