Kyushu Digital Gateway
APLJ is advancing the development of an international data center hub in Northern Kyushu.
Data Center
In 2020, APL Group identified Northern Kyushu’s strategic advantages for data center development. Following comprehensive research and analysis, the Group designated the creation of an international data center hub in Northern Kyushu as a strategic priority and began execution in 2021.
In 2023, the Government of Japan prioritized the promotion of data center development in the Kyushu and Hokkaido regions to support decentralization, followed by Cabinet approval of the “GX2040 Vision” in 2025. Building on its expertise and strategic network, APL Group continues to secure land and power while preparing to break ground on its first project and establishing the operational capabilities to serve global customers.
